We founded N2 Talent because recruitment had become too transactional.

Simeon Ractliffe
Founder and Search Partner
I started my career in science (specialising in analytical chemistry) before moving into recruitment over 20 years ago, a combination that influences how N2 works today.
I founded N2 Talent because I'd seen too many companies struggle with their own processes or transactional recruiters who didn't understand their science, their culture, or the realities of scaling in resource-limited environments. I knew there was a better way.
My approach is straightforward: listen carefully, know your market and map it thoroughly building a network of genuine relationships with both clients and candidates. I take on a limited number of projects at a time because rushed recruitment doesn't serve anyone well.
What drives me is seeing the impact when the right person joins the right team at the right time - those moments when a successful hire changes lives.
Outside of work, I'm a keen cyclist currently training for the John o'Groats to Land's End challenge for my 50th next year. One to tick off the bucket list!

The story behind N2
Our name comes from the nitrogen molecule, N2 - a symbol of strength and connection.
Nitrogen forms one of the strongest bonds in nature: a triple bond that's essential for life but not easy to access without the right conditions. It felt like the perfect metaphor for what we do.
